Out of This World:
This book is incredible.
Beats every other book in the series by far.
Adds a lot to the romance between Artemis and Holly
while maintaining and action theme. Amazing twist
in the middle of the novel that makes you think
Anthony Horowitz is a genius.
I want more!:
I've been reading Artemis Fowl since it first came out and it just seems like the books get better and better. My favorite used to be the Eternity Code. Then when Lost Colony (book 5) came out, that became my favorite and now this one is pretty darn good too. Yay for Eion (pronounced Owen) Colfer!
Decent, but not the best in the series:
I enjoyed book 6 though, not as much as earlier pieces in the series. This is the first of the Colfer books that I have read that had a "hidden" message to it that was beat on over and over, which is conservation and eco-friendly living. Now I understand that this is targeted at youth but also believe at times it takes away from the story, which is unfortunate. I enjoy the series and I hope a future book sees a return to earlier styles and stories. Enjoyable, but not great get it in paperback, definitely... more info
Best Artemis YET!!!!!:
As a reading and writing teacher, I like to read what the kiddos are reading. The Artemis Fowl series is one of my favorites, and this book was exciting, funny, and, to quote one of my students, "just plain awesome!".
