Fun for parties:

We have had our Wii for over a year. We bought some extra games to play, but so far, the ones that came with it (sports) are still our favorites. We don't find ourselves playing with it unless we have a party, and need to entertain the teens or younger adults with something. Younger kids like it too, but the controls can be a little confusing for them when under age 5. Fun, but...:

to me, it's not a "real" video game console. I enjoy playing with my nieces, nephews, siblings, etc. with Wii Sports and Wii Play. Though, I would've liked the motion detector aspect a whole lot more if it wasn't the console's main focus. I guess I'm a bit of a purist. I like playing with my thumbs, and there really is a lot of distraction from that with this system. Like I said before, it's fun, but it's a little too untraditional for my taste.

The wii is the gaming experiance in the history of mankind. I've had my wii since it first came out in 2006. The style of control is great for first person shooters and racing games. I've had no problems with my wii and it is very easy to setup, update, and connect to the internet. The shop channel is great so I can play my favorite games from older consoles.
